Visitor Parking
Visitor parking is exclusively reserved for guests and is not available to faculty, staff, or students. Virtual visitor permits allow guests to park in any visitor space or purple zone on campus.
You can scan the QR code below to obtain a virtual visitor permit. Permits are also available through the Parking Portal or in person at the Parking & Transportation Services office. Be sure to have your license plate number ready to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

Departmental Visitors
We have implemented a new guest parking process to help streamline the university's parking. Each area in the University has designated employees who are authorized to send guest invitations on behalf of their teams. Please email parking@tntech.edu to obtain your department鈥檚 designated contact for sending Departmental Guest Invites.
Departmental Guest Permits:
- These permits are valid for up to 5 days.
- A guest invite may be sent no earlier than 30 days before the scheduled visit.
- To request a permit, you will need:
-
- Guest's name
- Email address
- Date(s) of visit
- Suggested comments to add to Departmental Guest Invites: Upon your arrival on campus, please complete your invite. The permit allows access to the Gold Parking Lot and visitor spaces, but does not permit parking in reserved spaces. For a campus map, please visit /maps/index.php.
The guest will receive an email invitation from tennesseetech@parking-receipt.com.
- They must click the link provided in the email and fill out the requested information.
- Under "Contact Information," the guest should enter their first name, last name, email address, and phone number.
- Under "Vehicle," the guest needs to click 鈥淎dd Vehicle,鈥 enter the license plate number, select the issuing state, and provide the make, model, and color of the vehicle. After completing these steps, they should click 鈥淎dd鈥 and then select 鈥淐omplete Guest Permit Invite.鈥
- Upon finishing the process, the guest will receive a receipt indicating a zero-dollar charge.
To create an invite batch for multiple guests:
- Enter the event name in the designated field for the batch name.
- Copy and paste the individual email addresses into the 鈥淓mails for all invitees鈥 field.
- Enter one email address per line to ensure each invite is sent correctly. This will make sure all individuals receive the invite.
Please note: If your guest is a current employee, student, or has a license plate already registered to an employee or student, their request will be automatically declined when they attempt to complete the guest invitation. You will need to contact parking@tntech.edu or call 931-372-6428 to assist this guest with a permit.
AIMS Validation Pass:
The AIMS Validation Pass is a one day permit only for large events, camps, and tours. Please contact the Parking Department to obtain the QR code, URL, and voucher code for your visitors. You will need to provide the following details about your event to Parking:
- Event name
- Date
- Time
- Location
Upon arrival, guests can scan the QR code or click the URL, then enter their license plate number, state of issuance, and voucher code. They will receive an on-screen confirmation of their free parking and the permit鈥檚 expiration date.
