The Student Organization Life Opportunity (S.O.L.O.) Fund

What Is the S.O.L.O. Fund?

Created by students, for students, the S.O.L.O. Fund is 成年人深夜福利在线观看 Tech鈥檚 dedicated student鈥慺ee account that finances campus鈥憌ide events and powers registered student organizations (RSOs). The Fund is composed of two distinct pools:

Pool	Purpose	Uses
General Fund (15鈥�%)	(鈮も��$2000) to RSOs each semester, subject to approval by the S.O.L.O. Funding Committee (and the SGA Senate, if over $1000)	Recruitment of new members or host events that benefit the whole student body
Superfund (85鈥�%)	One marquee event every semester or every year	The S.O.L.O. Concert or a major comedian An administrative position to assist SGA with the planning and execution of the S.O.L.O. Concert, Homecoming, and other activities.

Unspent dollars roll forward to keep building better experiences for the next year.

 

How Is It Funded?

*The increase in 2018鈥�19 gave the fund greater buying power for national鈥慶aliber talent while preserving our ability to financially support RSOs.

 

Oversight & Allocation

• The S.O.L.O.鈥疐unding Committee - the Treasurer and six Senators - reviews every General Fund request and reports recommendations to the Senate.
• Senate approval is required for awards over 50鈥�% of the $2000 cap or for any 鈥渆xceptional鈥慴enefit鈥� request.
• The Center for Student鈥疎ngagement manages purchasing to ensure regulatory compliance.
