Electrical and Computer Engineering Graduate Student Awarded Prestigious IEEE Student Scholarship

global scholarship from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE),
the largest technical professional organization in the world.
Md. Ebrahim Khalil, a graduate student in electrical and computer engineering, was awarded the 2025 IEEE Power & Energy Society Outstanding Student Scholarship of $10,000 at the society鈥檚 General Meeting in July in Austin, TX. Khalil was one of only five recipients from universities around the world who were chosen to receive the honor.
The scholarship is awarded to the society鈥檚 student members who are pursuing electric power and energy engineering careers. Recipients for the scholarship were chosen based on their academic achievements; contributions to meeting community and humanitarian needs; and leadership in advancing student engagement within the society. In his graduate program, Khalil conducts research on power system optimization, smart grids and second-life battery integration and works as a graduate research assistant in the electrical and computer engineering department. He serves as the chair of the IEEE 成年人深夜福利在线观看 Tech University Student Branch and has been an active IEEE volunteer for more than nine years. Khalil鈥檚 long-term goal is to work as a power system engineer, contributing to innovative, sustainable grid solutions and energy resilience worldwide, he said.
