Admitted Next Steps - Transfer Students
As an incoming transfer student, here are the steps you'll need to complete after being admitted and before starting your classes.
Set up your TechExpress Account
You'll find all your most-used Tech resources, including your Tech email, T-Number, Next Steps, and so much more. To get started, follow these simple instructions:
- Navigate to
- Your initial password will be z?T# where the T# is your T-number (Ex. if your T-number is T99999999, your initial password will be z?T99999999)
- Set up your Multi-Factor Authentication
- Set your password (Tip: your password must be at least 16 characters long)

Apply for Scholarships!
Complete the single scholarship application that puts you in the running for 750+ scholarships. You must be admitted and the application must be completed each year.
The deadline to apply for scholarships is December 15 for the next Spring semester and May 1 for the next Fall semester. If you have any questions, email scholarships@tntech.edu.

All students, whether transfer or new freshman, must submit documentation to Health Services before arriving for orientation and registration. All students must complete the following forms:
- Hepatitis B Meningitis Waiver Form
- Tuberculosis Screening Form
If you're living on campus, additional immunization records may be required. Check the Health Services website for additional details and links to your required forms.

Once you鈥檝e been admitted, you will want to log in to your application portal to review your personalized next steps for enrollment. Your portal is where you鈥檒l track important deadlines, submit any outstanding documents, and complete required action items before classes start for your admitted term. Your Admit Checklist updates as you move closer to enrolling, with new tasks added when it鈥檚 time to complete them. Be sure to check your application portal often so you don鈥檛 miss any steps for your first semester.
Complete New Student Orientation
All new students are required to complete new student orientation. For students admitted summer/fall, this information is available in March. For students admitted Spring, this information is available in November.
Register for OrientationComplete Advisement and Registration
Once you complete new student orientation, you will be provided information on how to contact your academic advisor or Student Success Center for your major. Information on advisement is available in April for Summer/Fall admits and November for Spring admits.
