Nicole Cook-Seabold joined ³ÉÄêÈËÉîÒ¹¸£ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´ Tech in the Fall of 2018. Her previous research examines prison adjustment for women serving life sentences, pathways to prison for women, and the impact of trauma on re-entry. Related to her research interests, some of her favorite classes to teach are Women & Crime, Patterns of Domestic Violence and Sexual Offenses & Offenders.
Before teaching, Mrs. Cook-Seabold worked as a felony probation officer during which time she partnered with individuals being released after a period of incarceration. In collaborating with her clients, she was able to aid in finding employment, housing, and programming to benefit them in establishing a stable living environment for themselves and their families post-incarceration.
Mrs. Cook-Seabold is currently the Faculty Advisor for the Sociology & Criminal Justice
Club- a club which is geared toward students who are interested in these fields of
study, Alpha Kappa Delta- and international sociology honors society, and the Peer
Empowerment Program- a student group focused on educating the campus community about
power-based violence, including dating violence, campus sexual assault and stalking
while supporting survivors and allies.
