Alumni Feature: Maya Johnson
Hi, I鈥檓 Maya Johnson. I鈥檝e recently graduated Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus on Microbiology. The Biology Department at Tech gave me a warm and encouraging environment that offered me opportunities to be involved in an array of clubs, become a teaching assistant for labs, join a research project on small colony variants in Staphylococcus aureus, and more.
Through the wonderful relationships I鈥檝e developed during my time here, I gained the opportunity to lead my own research project over the summer at Auburn University and present at two national conferences: SCICB and ASBMB.
